Spring Is In the Air
Spring is in the air at last.
Cold and damp are in the past.
The evenings now stretch out.
After work we think about
walks along the shoreline
or woodlands before we dine.
The breeze is soft on my cheek
as in my tool shed I seek
my accouterments for the garden.
I must now beg your pardon.
So much work to be done.
I look forward to the fun.
Seeing what survived the snow.
Planting primroses in a row.
Peaceful time to be alone.
I'm so happy in my home.
