Spring Is Coming Soon

Sprinkling scented sachets of cheer
Perking grim faces afar and near
Ringing out gloom and despair
It is again that time of year
Nimble footed, treads with care
Glides in dispelling mists of fear

Ink out each dreary day
Sunny climes are on the way!

Curtains of chill are drawn apart
Oodles of warmth gladden the heart
Meadows revel as butterflies dart
Imprints in pinks and purples impart
New shades to flowers and fruitcart
Gardens glisten promising fresh start

Squirrels seek nuts in amber soaked beam
Ochre gold ambience reigns supreme
Offers fond moments to daydream
Near the beatific bluish stream
