Spring Is Coming Soon

Spray fertile soil with citrus sun.
Pick Oleander in spring rain.
Relive the April of our love
In budding blooms, down garden lane.
Nest hatching eggs in verdant hands.
Gift misty eyes with rainbow views.
Innate, our dreams for joy and light
Spur romance birthed in floral hues.
Come spring, refresh earth lazed in snow!
Ornately jeweled, she shall not wait.
Meandering through lushest greens,
I hear wind songs young ones create.
Nearby, a river swells with life -
Goslings and ducklings swim in line.
Softly, we kiss atop new shoots
Of Queen Anne's lace on banks divine.
Our ode to Oleander dawn
Nestled in limbs of spring days gone.

Excellent brevity, Rhonda. Well-done spring acrostic. My favorite line is the romance in "Relive the April of our love." My husband and I had our first date in April. Congratulations on your poem and on your placement.
