Spring Is Coming Soon
Songbirds tell us all good morning and
Plants bloom diverse buds most stunning,
Reminding us newness is coming.
Idle no more, grass grows its carpet -
Nudging bare feet to wiggle rub it and
Giggle from the happiness of it.
Inside life ends, doors and windows open
So senses may all be reawoken.
Company is sought for barbecues
On the first free day warmth queues.
Minds and hearts are light with promise
In air of gentle, honest solace.
Nature revels in her recital,
Glowing for all with charmed arrival.
Sunshine breaks any drab and dull routine
Once she shines upon the living scene.
Offering all the promise of rebirth,
New comes Spring’s joy to halo our earth.
