Spring Has Sprung

Let’s give God our thanks, spring has sprung from bed. The frozen rain melts from the dunes of snow. The dormant seeds grow with petals of red. The songbirds now sing as their young will grow. The sunshine greets all as the warm wind blows. April showers fall, miracles behold. A fresh new painting, a gift for us shows. The breath of spring brings life into the fold. The earth recycles the trees fallen leaves. Grass will now flourish, thank God for the spring. A winter ball thrown; the spring now retrieves. Beauty by God’s hand, for us he does bring. Inspiration and joy hang in the air. Take a look around, his love we all share. 3/10/2021 Breath of Spring Poetry Contest Sponsor: Regina McIntosh

A fine sonnet of Spring. Capture's the renewal of nature from Winters sleep and acknowledges God's work as well.

Love your description of the changes spring brings as a "fresh new painting." It certainly seems that way. Beautiful imagery, Mark! Best wishes, Carolyn
