An extra hour of daylight bliss, I’ll watch the sunbeams gently kiss bright jaunty yellow daffodils which grow along the banks of rills I’ll clamber over wooden styles then walk the hills for many miles xanthic gorse adds such vibrancy and colours the land for all to see Written on an absolutely stunning spring morning ... We turned the clocks forward one hour last night 3/25/18

Great poem Jan, that little rise in temperature and a bit of sunshine certainly raises our mood as does reading your poems, a joy to read. :))

Glad spring is smiling on you. t's grey and dreary here again. I wish they would keep the clocks where they are; I don't even care which way, but I hate the change. It was finally no longer dark when I have to get up, and bam, they throw us back an hour into darkness. Not cool.

Nice piece! Sadly these warm snaps create a false sense of security for wildlife, especially the bees, and other pollinators. What is happening is the warmth encourages the queens, (bees and wasps), out one day and freezes them the next. Mind you, it is not just the cold, all the extra rain is not helping either. Fewer insects affect all life that depends on them, chicks starve. Damm! I'm doing it again, sorry, Jan! It's a beautiful tribute to the day, and I hope one an all had a great walk... hugs Mick

You are so right about the weather fooling the insects into a false sense of security. last year i noticed a distinct reduction in the bees in the garden and I saw 1 wasp (not that I'm complaining) which was in my garden shed in early February on a sunny day. hugs jan xx
