Spring Fever

Forged by the light of the sun
Engorged  by the feel of the wind
My throat closes slowly
Yet, I breathe again

left out of control, swelled
Flustered,dizzy, shaky
Snorting the smell
Of freshly cut grass

The colors of the flowers
Make me fall over breathless;
my eyes become unhinged
The mind left delirious

Passed out I sweat
Tossing turning
Waiting for it to break
the fever  ends
the dawn of Spring
