Spring Cleaning

Wind swept over the fields
blowing the spring dust
 winter snow was not heavy
it melted very fast
 the quick dryness of spring
made everything cling with dust
 wind whipped as the dust
settled on cars, windows
basically everything outside
Spring cleaning needs to be
a good hard rain to renew
and replenish the ground
a good washing to awaken
the greenery of spring
to bring forth early buds
renewal and rebirth
of a new season.

Oh, I LOVE this one. My favorite so far, to think of the spring rain as the ultimate spring cleanse!!

Yes Spring cleaning is needed in all things. Especially in Nature where the ground awaits the moisture. I love the spring rains. As you say without them the ground suffers. I also like to receive the snow in winter because it's from the snow that we get the water for streams and rivers and lakes. People forget the necessary things of nature is what keeps us alive. Great write my friend. I do love a poem that has a message and this is a good one. God Bless, JB

Oh I do so agree Phyl. I am anxious to get my vacation time so I can start mine. And we really are looking forward to rain instead of snow now, Almost all the ice is gone from my yard now and the new buds are just beginning to peek from the ground. Ah As they say, Spring is sprung, the grass is riz. I wonder where the flowers is. (sorry about that couldn't resist.) God Bless, JB

Thanks Kim we do need rain as everything seems dirty after winter. Still a bit of snow in some areas like between houses and under trees. love phyl
