Spring Affair

her face growing old lines of her eyes, ancient trees. young lovers are lost her branches bend with spring tears. young rain seeps deep in the wood.

So beautifully expressed. A poem that meshes youth etched memory with the experience of age. Superb! Best wishes Brian

This poem reminds me of teen years when carving initials in treebark was a pledge of love. I like this poem. There is a spring haiku contest going on in the member contest area. Have you visited there, yet? If not, you should. Your poems have made me think and that is good. Keep writing. Lovingly, Dane Ann
