Spring.
A beauty to behold
fresh
sweet
virginal
a delicate scent.
Curious buds poke tender snouts above ground
sniffing ,testing the air.
Blossoms, palms raised in worship
view the glory of a new world.
Blazing hues fill the realm
a kaleidoscope of color
as flowers sway and bow
in homage.
Butterflies fickle and swift
flit fitfully from petal to petal
while baby birds peek forth in wonder.
Mother earth bustles with life,
cradling all to her ample bosom.
Life after the dead of winter
a promise
of rebirth after death.
