Spring
A
Living body.
With arms on?
Both sides.
Doing nothing.
Doing dishes.
Doing nothing.
Looking around.
The sun is doing more than I could imagine.
It’s spring outside.
Today.
The sun is strumming along.
The eyes.
Two of them.
Tomorrow is the work of someone else.
Surviving is a mural they painted.
A weird and,
Living body.
Wearing a new pair of shoes.
Maybe today.
Makes me sad.
The shoes will fall apart.
And everything.
And the other ones?
Doing nothing.
Wearing out.
On a shoe rack.
Alone.
A living body.
And me.
