Spring

Spring.

Flowers, and warmth.

Morning dew, and sunshine.

Going from hot coffee to iced.

Last spring…

We idealize last spring.

But what if this spring…

I dust and the dust chokes me.

Or I spill coffee and slip and fall and…

Horrible things might happen this spring.

Horrible things might happen any time.

But we will survive.

To stand on spring’s edge.

Summer.

Pools, and shorts.

Campfires that will burn our fingers...
