Watching a friend take center stage
is satisfying.
It's fun to watch the crowd's reaction
to her seamless rhythm, graceful leaps
and inimitable energy
(the energy tapped from who knows where...
I know where.
It's the magical well all performers find within,
the one that lets them dance
the fourteenth show of the day
with as much poise, presence and charisma
as the first.)
It's almost as good as taking the spotlight yourself...
almost.
