Sports Transcend Time
How wonderful life is and what sports mean to me
For others, something to do at night to see
An escape from the world and free from mental exhaust
As an outburst of screams, until my voice is lost
Feeling intimately under a spell of inhibitions
Abandoning of normal restraints and conditions
Feeling intimately involved in the game
Teasing, defeat, in a moment of fame
It goes beyond bringing out the best, and the worst
Long after the game is played my team is still first
Bringing out the real life primal in me and my chums fun
And a scaffold shared between father and son
