Notes About The Poem

Spook

You are spooked, but you are also doing the spooking.
You talk about hearts,
And who can be forgiven.
Or you stand,
Or sit and wonder
On a floating platform believing
You are creating things,
And maybe you are,
Maybe you are always creating things.
But what is it that you are creating?

Tis the first of November and the day is starting out beautiful. The poetry I am reading this morning is very diverse and should make my whole day enjoyable as I read it. Your hearts are overflowing onto your paper and makes such amazing reading. Thank you for sharing your writing with us Matt. Love, Carol

H-O-w-L!......H-O--W---L!( ha ha. ) Thanks for the fun contest...I was going for the Werewolf ARt! First time in a long time there was a prize of wonderment. Heck, I'd take a bubble gum wrapper just for that one. I enjoyed reading the winner's circle..surprised I got in it, actually. I will howl regularly in the other contests and see if it gets me anywhere at all. ...I like the reversal of thought in this poem SPOOK..the floating platform creates an illusion that maybe she won't come back to you...or maybe she will..Very much enjoyed. Does knowing the background of a poem help the audience appreciate it more? NOt in this one...pondering is half the fun.. Gwendolen
