Spokes

engrossed in my book -
the tunes of playful robins
whir of wash-machine
        the sunless dawn, spokes
atop oaks, pines and myrtles

Hi Kim, This work is peerless. It blends everyday sounds with those of the natural world. Your comments on my “Gaping Hole” poem are much appreciated. Congratulations on your podium placement too Howard
