Romance filled her heart 
Overcome was she with delight
Until he split an infinitive

Sara, I'm chuckling because most writers here split infinitives. A college student recently told me it was considered acceptable grammar now, but I'm from the old school. Enoyed reading this very much! As you continue writing, perhaps you'll be splitting some infinitives? Love it! Carolyn

She must have been an English teacher? I found this very amusing. It would be even funnier to me if you put an example of a split infinitive inside the poem! Until he decided to unfortunately split an infintive!
