Split Schizoid Mission

split schizoid mission

Lifting the mind
like a sword
counting poets
losing self in
unsettled love
and mysteries
plucked off the shelf
all the Berlin walls
come tumbling down
words like dice
shaken and thrown
the electric
black dogs barking
call in their ebony crows
wings wind their words
shocking the lonely
on repeat fix
mirrored stories
touched for a while
fingers crack the muse
like an egg
over easy
sticking to your
mind, acrid like
burnt lemon rind
the way you peel
an orange each
piece a fractured
story, you swallow
or a never ending tail
cacheing cold sharp diamonds
in Her wake serpentine
on the way home
ghosted ghostly
bent on another
split schizoid mission
out in the cold
barefeet dance
the jig again over
burning coals
collaborating
the others
in the mind

"The woman
was given the two wings
of the great eagle,
so that she could fly
from the serpent
into the wilderness,
to her place
where she is nourished
for a time,
and times,
and half a time."

"I come like the blind feeling for shelves, feeling for wood as hard as an apple, fingering the pen lightly, my blade. With this pen I take in hand my selves and with these dead disciples I will grapple. Though rain curses the window let the poem be made."

"And when the world tells you to lower your head and submit in silence to how things are and always will be, lift your voice instead and sing of how things can and should and will be, because that is why you are here."
