Splinter In My Sight

The liquid is sharp
sweet the Pulse
the flicker and the light
that keeps in time
With the driving rhythm
A sound of feeling
the rage
the Ecstasy
Pump and hum
the drink is cold I feel hot
the sights and sounds
burning down
the body locks
the flesh is in motion
the drug boils deep
through each tight vein
I feel the coming insane
seen there in the corner shadows
Do you see?
the forgotten
in the corner
were shadows remain
eyes staring
a shadow ill begotten
as the scenes pulse,
flicker, splash of light
keeps in time
refuses the light
for the night
in the darkest space
they care not
Last Remnants remain, stain
out of the corner of the eye
the bump and grind
The crowd unaware
But you see it there?
the thing at the corner
of my site sits and stares
do you feel it not
a haunted vestige underneath it’s eyes hot
my heart skips
my thoughts spin
my stomach sours
the imagery feeds darkness my sight takes
my mind falling away
from the light
I think of this thing
as a splinter in my sight
Darkest night
corners my eye
and the pulse
and flicker
the sound
in the rhythm
and rage
as a liquid is shot
sweat trickles down
spines curb around
Pump and Flicker
the lights keep time
during the rhythm
the sound
feeds the energy
The drink is cold I feel
the hot heat of the bodies press
sights and sounds burning down
the drug crawls through my tight flash
fire in veins
their at the corner
of my eye something
sits something waiting, insane
waiting
wanting pain
the coming rain
pump and hum
the electric drums
complex tattoos of insanity
there is shadows sits and waits
don’t you see
