Splendor-Collab

In the dawn of life when splendor began And our fears were not yet known We walked with a love that shown from within In a wonderful world all our own Then came a time when love became fickle Shame grew with a strength we never knew And the love we cherished began to fall away Grief and sorrow began forever holding true Love we had became harder to hold What little could be found since the start If we could only go back to when splendor began And the love glow that would shine from our hearts A collaboration with my dear friend Elizabeth Wesley Dan Kearley:12-14-11 :o)

Unconditional love: the love of a child; a little child - so meek and mild. God doeth attest: It's the only way, that his salvation comes into play. Enjoyed your poem.

Love it Dan, its sad and for some a challenge to remember why we fell in love with who we did, try to grasp that hang on to it.

Nice descriptiveness and rhyming, Dan. Just one thing: the correct spelling of the word is "splendor".

Awesome, thought-provoking poem, Dan. You and Elizabeth write so well together that I couldn't tell who wrote which verse. It would truly be wonderful if we could return to a time before disappointment tainted our perspectives on life. Merry Christmas, Dan! Love, Carolyn
