Had to read this onet Russ, with the middle of September, I'm waiting for the color and surely the splendor you speak of. Those rustling leaves are wonderful to walk through too. Love the images and feelings here and need to thank you for the way you talk to me about my poem. I'm feeling nice and warm with your kind words.

my favorite teacher EVER wrote the word splendiferous in my yearbook at the end of the year in which she had me read "all the kings men" (which I hated) and "sister carrie" (which i loved).. she also was cool enough to look the other way when I was reading kurt vonnegut and ayn rand when i was s'posed to be s'posestabeing... your poem recalled all that to me. thanks! ~n (ps... maybe spellcheck your title)
