Spiritual Starvation

SPIRITUAL STARVATION

Preoccupying oneself,
With
The accumulation of material wealth,
May lead
To the impoverishment of one’s soul
To the degree
Of
Spiritual starvation!

I see wisdom is one of your strong suits. Words such as these should be painted some where for all the world to see. :o) Very nice reminder.

Dear Dan, thank you so much for your generous comment! Well, probably you do not know it but I have studied and taught philosophy. As you know, Philosopher means "Friend of wisdom" BUT to be a friend of wisdom doesn't mean that wisdom considers me a... friend of hers! I do my best! Thank you again my friend for your kindness!

How true! I have impoverished my soul but not due to the pursuit of wealth. Other things at times distract us. Thanks for this reminder of prioritizing again....Also, Demetri mou...thanks so much for that lovely post on my daughter's poem. It was poetry in itself and warmed my heart. You are dear to me. :)

Dear Eileen, Thank you for your generous comment! Yes, other things distract us but material things are so imposing! Your daughter's poem warmed my heart as well and since she is a reflection of you, dear to me she remains!
