Spiritual Elevation
These transcendent thoughts
are ascending, rising above the fray
Supreme spiritual elevation
is moving my soul in a righteous way
All of the pouring down pain
is falling beneath my balm-in-Gilead feet
A blossoming awareness of spiritual things,
chariots of fire come swiftly uplifting me
Rising ... ascending
over mountain tops eagle wings have carried me
Spiritual elevation
has let my soul soar free
There is a place reserved by God,
that only the holy will see
I pray always silently and aloud,
to be perched upon the branches
of this ever rising life-giving tree
Elevate me, O Lord,
elevate me
Wrap the cloth of holiness
around my blood purified baptized body
Let my thoughts rise like Christ did ...
rise, rise
Let me fly into the center of the Son,
the Morning Star light
This spiritual elevation ... this cosmic flight
will prepare me to be
transfigured in the twinkling of an eye
