Spirit Unleashed
Born a Hindu, I was taught
that Krishna is the true God
but Christians spoke of Jesus,
deeming Him to be their lord.
I wandered around the world,
flirting with myriad faiths
but mere words stirred not my soul,
lost amidst shadowy wraiths.
Iconic sages revered,
each scripted a path unique,
emulating not scriptures,
found what they set out to seek.
Thought a tool, which now constrains,
radiance of pristine soul,
so I plunged into silence,
in stillness becoming whole.
I am as I am, complete,
provided thoughts are rested,
whereupon God’s grace in-pours,
though for resolve we’re tested.
Sun above and earth below,
wafting breeze tickling my face,
there’s nothing I need to do,
to garner gifts of God’s grace.
