Spirit That Hovered Low

Enveloped
by
filth
and
scorn,
Bowed
to
all
even
to
dogs,
Marrow
sucked
out
of
his
bones,
Head
tucked
in
between
his
knees,
Deathly
scaref
breath
took
a
pause,
Lost
foot
on
edges
of
waterfalls,
Just
a
petty
fright
he
lept
like
a
frog,
Took
seasons
to
calm
his
soul,
Till
one
day
he
woke
up
and
swore,
He'll
never
ever
meet
a
fall,
Then
he
rose,rose
and
rose,
Today
his
whereabouts
are
still
unknown.
