Spirit of the Wilderness

Yearning for the open spaces, 
Longing for endless sky
I seek out the holy places: 
Desert canyon, mountains high,
Where my soul is free to fly.

And I feel a light is glowing
Deep within me like a flame,
Hear a song within me growing,
Hear the spirit call my name
And am happy that I came.
