Spirit of Nature

Spirit of Nature

I walk along the rocky bluff
with the warm rising of the sun.
The mist builds and falls
above the vast expanse of the ocean,
surrounding the little island,
blanketing the shoreline with soft white mounds.

And in the next moment it disappears....
Only to creep up in front of me!
Silently climbing up the damp rocky slope,
like a mysterious spirit of nature,
tiny beads of water droplets surround me...
The sweat from the body of salt water below.

I wish I could be there right now, my heart longs for a peaceful place such as this, good night, and thank you.

I was born and raised on the ocean, served on the ocean, love the ocean, but I love mountains, forests, deserts too... To look at me you'd never know I'm a spirit of nature... But I'm also part Apache and Cherokee and I find an overwhelming peace in nature...

I also feel most at peace in nature, but then I’m a Virgo, an “earth” sign, lol. My friend at work is a full blood Apache, a lovely lady! I believe we are all spirits of nature from very early days.....
