Spiraling Down

Professor Bridges and Senator Hawley Had an exchange they both scored as a win. One thought the other was being transphobic; The other pushed back on supposed pregnant men. I’m not here to argue one way or the other; What I find appalling is both thought they won, And all of their posturing, each for their bases Has no effect, and convinces no one. I think we are way past any reconciling. The treaties are shredded; there’s no middle ground. Where it’s all headed is hard to conceive of But I get a strong sense we’re spiraling down.
