Spiral of Light

                     rising
                 in slow
              circles of
           morning glow,
        the spiral lifts
      from the pond’s quiet
    mirror, turning toward
   the leaf’s bright
  edge— a soft
  curl of new
   day learning
    how to
      breathe light
         into the
            waking world
