Spinning Plates

As infrequent a visitor
hayrides through haunted woods are
to the segregate’s prison of elm and oak

is the sliver of Ray-ban hope
I used to count on
for steady supplies of vegetation

on my salad plate,
overgrown now with yellow seed
blossoming dollops of strawberry preservative.

nice one...but, have to say the title brought ed sullivan shows to mind and one of the 'spinning plates on a pole' acrobatic act....they were fun : )

Lol, i was going more for the downtrodden Radiohead song "Spinning Plates" but I agree, Ed Sullivan's are a lot more fun. Thanks for reading :)
