Spinning

take me back
to
         better times
                spinning round and round
and the world becomes all but a blur
                                                            hold on tight
           because we'll go faster
My laughter rises from my chest
                                     into the atmosphere
and my heart beats wildly
                   in my eardrums

electric pleasure

 from the dizzyness and
                                   lack of control

take me back to
                                  when I was a child
and my summer dress would caress my knees
         blowing in the wind
my hair lifting from my shoulders
                                                                       and love
        love flows through my veins
      becoming a part of me
just like the sound of your voice

And I'm
Spinning like a crystal on a window pane
I glisten, glow
                        glorious sunlight bathing everything
Ballerina child
                                    Dancing on tip-toes
              arms raised above my head
    and
falling
             falling

falling

slow
