Spills Over
Sludge like fudge
water and oil
contaminated soil
kills with spills
drills in hills
wildlife and strife
polluted planet
air congested
hearts arrested
coated in slime
not enough time
to clean the slate
matter of minutes
or way too late
Killing fields
filled with bodies
without a name
political gain
complete disdain
acid rain
torn down trees
shredded leaves
many pet peeves
do as you please
out of control
get on your knees
pray for release
of karmic disease
False promises made
by all involved
all about money
without resolve
pipe dreams clogged
with verbal bile
garbage collecting
for miles and miles
destruction ground zero
such a grave loss
hidden by religion
a trip to paradise
gambling with dice
losing the game
naughty or nice
paying it forward
no matter the thought
at such a cost
to do your own part
or drown in rot
Sludge like fudge
without any taste
a domino affect
of bitter waste
