Spike

I feel like I have a spike That's been driven into my head If this pain doesn't end soon I'm going to go home to bed My concentration is poor I can't hear a single thing It began as a strumming Now I'm really suffering I tried to take an aspirin In the hopes that it would work Because when I'm not happy I can turn into a jerk Nothing seems to be working My pain is escalating It's hard to know what to do The feeling is frustrating I look into the mirror Comb aside all of my hair Much to my own amazement There is a spike stuck in there Dedicated to my friend Gary who suffers from constant migraines. Coincidently he has a friend who literally had a spike shot into his head an survived.

thanks Harry I had a splitting headache that day so couldn't think of anything else to write in the moment.

Until I read the dedication line, I have to admit I chuckled through it, but migraines are no laughing matter!
