'spider's Web'

trapped in a spider's web
with every move you make
things get more twisted
staying in one place 
was never an option 
going back
is out of the question
push through the only viable move
the bruises will heal
you'll remember the pain 
you'll never forget the lessons you've learned

It's a shame that so many return to abusive relationships, but hopefully you and others who provide opportunities for them to find their way out can make a difference.
