Spent

A woman spent what she didn't have
to be generous to the greedy
she went home unable to feed
her kids because she was far
more needy. Traveling back
to the seedy part of town where
she called home. I always wondered
why she made such sacrifices. Maybe
it's because she had a heart of gold
and even though her bread was molding
I think she slept good at night
knowing at least one person wasn't hungry.
