Spending Time

There was a time when cash was king
Dead presidents used to rule the day
But time took over with a sting
As the number of your days was bargained away
Each minute was precious, each hour the same
You spent it wisely; life depended on it
Some got time back when they filed a claim
Adding precious moments as they saw fit

An interesting take on time which no one can control really, not even presidents.
