Spending So Much Money On My First Date

[An Old Poem/the poem is not about money but about being foolish] Spending so much money on our first date This was ridiculous I was hoping we could be victorious in our endeavour But our relationship went nowhere very fast Let the brothers learn We often must discern and Not let our lust dictate our pocket! I placed the food on the table But first gave the roses Then We started to speak! She looked beautiful We spoke beyond the confines of what we’ve been through And It looked promising I had the idea of a wife But that might have been dumb! I have seen a mystery! Many divorce women often Don’t want to get married again! I learned a lesson that you should Not rush into it so fast Because often that is why things will not last! Let the brothers learn We often must discern and Not let our lust dictate our pocket! Mark Frank Copyright 2023
