Speed of Life

With hair wind swept
Look straight ahead
If you blink you miss
What you just left

You try your best to find
That elusive time
As it all slides by
At the speed of life

With all you know
You shoulder on
Be it others there
Or on your own

With all your might 
You try and try
To slow it down
This speed of life

Look right, look left
Look internet 
The pages lept
As you speed read

Soon enough you find
How hard time bites
As it all slides by
At the speed of life
