Speechless

Well, I guess, I finally did it
Men's been trying to do it for years
At that moment, I was so overwhelmed
That it almost brought me to tears

If you would have said it could happen
I wouldn't have believed a word
I may have even laughed and said
The thought of it sounded absurd

I had to call my family and friends
And tell them of this great news
They wanted to know how I did it
And, I simply just couldn't refuse

Now, it may never happen again
It's something that's really quite rare
But, I'm so glad it happened to me
And, I really wish you were there

My wife said she was speechless
She's never said it before
Someday I'll tell you what I did
And maybe, she'll say it once more

Stop with the teasing! Tell us already! (smile) I like this a lot, as with all your writing and beautiful rhymes.
