Speaking of Perfection --

I'm not striving for Perfection, I told my lover
Who wants to be perfect? she shuddered
Not I, came my reply. I never did covet it
I'm not even perfectly imperfect, you know
Not yet ~ What of it?

I'm lucky my wife does not require perfection! Huey Lewis said it well in Perfect World: "Nobody's perfect, not even a perfect fool / But if you'll have faith in me, I'll keep faith with you". Wonderfully imperfect musings on the subject of perfection, my friend.

Yes, indeed. I've picked up my B.A. (Bad Attitude) and my M.A. (Mad Atttitude)* on the highway of life... *These are aka Baditude and Maditude. Never did finish my Ph.D, however. (Paranoiacally-Hysteric-Dysfunction). Oh well, something to shoot for in the afterlife. :)

We can strive for perfection, but few achieve it, Gershon. Like the way your poem ended with "what of it?" Most ladies don't have great expectations :) Hugs, Carolyn

Ha, ha! Certainly no great expectations for their husbands (at least after the reality of the marriage sets in). lol. Thanks, Carolyn
