Speak To Me

Is there a reason why I stand before you today
I’ve passed by you so many times yet something is different today
You carry the images of days gone by
Of a proud people who were as many as the blades of grass
Now all gone can you tell me why
Are you and I the only ones left to tell their story
Is this the reason why I stand before you today
So my tree with the images of ole’
Speak to me and I will do as I am told
