Speak the Words On Winds and Castles
Speak the words on winds and castles
Speak the words of vanished emotion, stated in the framework of our lives
For complete is the structure of regret, and the makeup of its opinion,
Come hear a sound for salvation's sake, held in desires rebirth
And lost to the essence of its meaning;
Because without life there is no hope,
And without death there is no passion;
Our spiritual worth is captured by those around us, and the love that we hold inside
When castles lay in speculation and dream, and the tolerance in its character;
The worth of one’s future is reserved to itself, in the quiet solitude of reflection
And that of our own emotion;
Till comes a day we wait for servitude
But hear only lines of righteous thought
And in solitary rest we do lay, high atop yester wind
In the castles of kings with towers stepped, as October slips away,
Oh come listen hard to a gentle voice, see darkness enshrine the moon
And the centuries over which it shines;
But wait to hear the common words
Across winds sweet castles tall
