Speak Low

Now I speak low
So you don’t know
Thoughts twisted inside
No curtain to hide
Behind my face
The iceberg crashes
Into the sea of my guilt
If shame is suffering
Suffer no more
Little child
You pray like a beggar
Pray harder child
They’re watching you sleep
Dangerous roads
Stars unfold
Guilty dreams of tomorrow
Cast in shadow of sorrow
Torment me no more
My tormentor knows
Grief beyond words
For it is mine
