speak like the world is hearing because it
The world is listening, and I'm speaking loud,
A voice that's raw, that's broken, that's proud.
I'm speaking to the void, to the empty space,
Where faith once dwelled, now only echoes of a forgotten place.
I looked up to the sky, and I saw nothing but grey,
A reflection of my soul, a heart that's been torn away.
I was told of a Superman, a hero so divine,
But where was He when I needed Him, when my heart was on the line?
The world is hearing me now, and I'm not afraid,
I'm speaking truth to power, I'm speaking out my pain.
I'm saying it loud, I'm saying it clear,
The emperor has no clothes, the sky is empty, and I'm left here.
I'm not the only one, there's many more like me,
We've been hurt, we've been bruised, we've been set free.
We've been let down, we've been disappointed, we've been betrayed,
But we're standing up, we're speaking out, we're taking back our day.
The world is listening, and it's time to be heard,
Time to break the chains, time to shatter the word.
The sky is empty, but we're not alone,
We're taking back our power, we're taking back our throne.
So let's rise up, let's make some noise,
Let's fill the empty space with our voices, with our joys.
Let's show the world that we're not afraid,
That we're strong, that we're brave, that we're not alone in this shade.
The world is hearing me, and I'm speaking loud,
A voice that's raw, that's broken, that's proud.
I'm speaking truth to power, I'm speaking out my pain,
And I'm not going back, I'm moving forward, I'm breaking the chain.
