Sparkling Among the Woodlands

Such colours of natural beauty
your eyes feast upon all this
one considers this so fully
what a picture! don't want to miss

The sun shines through the trees
bringing the colours by real power
dazzled one's eyes so very bright
makes you think of a pretty flower

Along its pathway on either side
lovely little flowers beside the grass
so very green fully attractive
blinds your sight superior class

Strolling along singing a song
joining in with the birds so sweet
they wing themselves forever high
stand in awe at picture complete

What a picture this conveys
one wants to walk this all-day
so splendid, so stunning
loveliness indeed what can one say

When we lived in Taunton in England for 18 months ( I was 5 and 6) we used to go for walks every afternoon. The woods were just a short walk from our house and there was a river running through these woods and a million or so blue bells, i still remember everything and our dog buster, a boxer. Beautiful write Gordon, may Christmas be a blessed time for you and your family, Hugs, Jennifer.

Thanks Jenny, Glad you loved this one and it must have been lovely to be able to walk so near woods when you lived in Taunton. I know Taunton is famous for Cider but at that age you wouldn't be tasting any!! Have a very blessed Christmas, Gordon

Lovely imagery in your nature walk, with very nice rhythm and flow. Makes me want to go out on a walk in the woods! Hope all is well with you ~ John

Thanks John, Glad you loved it and yes there's nothing like a walk in the woods especially in the spring or autumn which always feels like the best months for it. Take care, Blessings, Gordon
