Spare Bedroom

Why do we pack our elders away like old photo albums? To spend their golden years under roofs made of bed sores and icy abuse. Is it too much to ask to fix up that spare bedroom to make their last years a little less harsh... like they once did for us when life chewed our hearts and spit us into darkness- Yes, there will be adjustments and frustration, as they've so little control over faculties (much like us when we were their babies). They'll keep us up all night with endless demands but weren't they once bogged down by our endless needs). Didn't they want to see the world but sacrificed everything to build us a better life. So, suck it up-fix up that spare bedroom. make the best of it... put some thought and heart into it A few pictures, a vase of smiling flowers.
