Space

Space No beginning - no end No sunrise - no sunsets No edges to curl back or peek behind Light living in darkness Tumultuous fire –cinders of ice Thunder and silence Volatile and stoic Unfathomable depths – reachable stars Empty – star-spangled Orbits - oblivion Planets - astral plains Stellar nebulas – streaking comets Constellations – red dwarfs Airless - atmospheres Seen - eclipsed Nature’s laws enforced – black hole rebellions Blue marble of life - stillborn moonstones Corruptible – not unchanging Mysteries – mystical Calendar of time - journal of the eternal No beginning and no end 1-12-2021 Contest: Musings on Space Sponsor: Unseeking Seeker

You certainly explain Space as I imagine - no beginning and no end - just unfathomable dark and deep spaces - holes and debris. A magical mysterious space with eternal galaxies, waiting to find us and us find them! Good luck certainly a winner. Hugs Sam, and blessings.

Lovely musings, not only about space but about the nature of infinity. Enjoyed your first and last lines as bookends. My favorite line is 'Calendar of time - journal of the eternal' for both sound and substance. Just tonight at the dinner table we were talking with our son about Space, Halley's comet in particular. He is an aerospace engineering student and plans to send things into space someday. Isn't it wonderful when our kids become smart enough to teach their parents things? ~ John

You covered it all Sam, the never ending vastness of space, so well written. Over Fork Over. Good luck Tom
