Sown Seed of Wisdom
Sown seed of wisdom...!
We err in our judgments
and that - we do know!
deep in the closets of our heart,
but we just don't show!
Lugged by our ego and pride,
we continue to tow -
those assumed lines of rights and wrongs,
that goes on to build our foe.
In those unassailable alleys,
that are dark and shady, mind does flow!
into that hidden darker past,
using which we continue to hoe!
We 'till' it to aid the crop, but,
instead, it is that menacing weed we grow;
body and mind sundered from peace,
in a vicious cycle - round and round we go !
In relentless pursuit of ephemerals,
obsessed to gain (which), we stoop so low;
and we find ourselves squabbling -
for tranquility in row after every row!
Fleeting time 'my friend'
and 'passages' so steep and narrow;
we got to find our 'Self' - 'awakened and aware',
only way to stave-off all our sorrow!
Past gone-by is history and
anticipation 'a mystery of morrow';
in those unfathomable dark,
Pin-on to 'The Self' with focus of an arrow.
Using all that is within us,
and only our own body as a bow;
with contemplative thought, as aid,
it is the first seed of wisdom we sow.
