Sovereign Rain
Sovereign rain coming softly,
Like friends from long ago,
Days of rain where the tiny
sparrows splash about in a puddle,
I long for the sunshine to come again,
Distant from friends,
i don"t go out when it rains,
Dangerous to know,
Safe at home where its warm and friendly,
Rain like a long lost companion,
Never to meet again,
When the sunshine comes out again,
That is like God's truce.
