Southern Sun
They tried to warn you about him
Stay away – nothing good will ever come
But you saw something – something through the darkness
You planted a seed – in that big o southern sun
He was brought up on beer and whiskey
Beat down with words unkind
Like an angel on a mustang
Galloped in – you saved that cowboy’s life
You know they say that love - gives life meaning
Just like meaning - gives you life
But what she did for that old cowboy –
Roped his heart –and changed his mind
Seeds planted and grown together
Take root and grow with time
Now their love - growing together
Growing - in that big o Southern sun
You know every story – can have a message
You know a true message - can save a life
What you gave – gave him reason
Gave him reason- reason to live a life
You know they say that love - gives life meaning
Just like meaning - gives you life
But what she did for that old cowboy –
Roped his heart –and changed his mind
Seeds planted and grown together
Take root and grow with time
Now their love - growing together
Growing - in that big o southern sun
True love – growing together
Growing - in that big o southern sun
